We want to show you that sustainability isn’t just about green stuff, we’re building local resilience through action, wellbeing, and leadership.
Welcome to our hub for building a greener, healthier Silverdale.
As part of our business plan for 2024–2026, we are focusing on practical sustainability actions our business community can lead today, with a strong focus on waste minimisation and workplace wellbeing.
Our Commitment
Running a sustainable business means being thoughtful about the products and services you use and their long-term impact on the environment. Even small, intentional shifts in daily operations can lead to meaningful results.
It’s about taking practical steps, from how you source materials to how you manage waste, and seeking out better options such as local suppliers, low-emissions alternatives, and environmentally friendly products. Sustainability isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress.
Sustainable business is about looking at the products and services used in your business and thinking about their impact on the environment. Many sustainable practices aren’t too different to standard practices, and small changes can make a big difference.
Making your business more sustainable is about looking at what you do, what you buy, and how you use and dispose of things. It’s also about moving to eco-friendly, local, organic or low-emissions alternatives.
We aim to lead local change by:
- Reducing business waste
- Connecting businesses to reuse opportunities
- Promoting positive, resilient workplace cultures
