Some businesses are built from strategy. Others are built from life experience.
For Anthony Dahya, the journey began long before business. It began with a young boy learning how to survive change.

After his parents separated when he was young, Anthony spent six years from the age of seven in a highly regimented ashram boarding school in India — an experience he describes as feeling like a cross between an army camp and a prison. That chapter left him carrying a deep story of abandonment and rejection, something that would quietly shape many parts of his life.
But over time, Anthony began to realise something important. Real change does not start by fixing everything outside of us. It starts with self-awareness — recognising the repeating patterns and stories that keep showing up in our lives and having the courage to do the inner work.
That belief has shaped everything he has done since.

Anthony went on to build a corporate career spanning some of Auckland’s most prominent organisations — Vodafone, Auckland Transport, and Auckland Council — working across technology, data, analytics, and business improvement. Along the way he experienced multiple restructures and redundancies firsthand. Rather than letting those moments define him, he let them teach him. He came to understand, up close, how uncertainty affects people and teams, and how rarely organisations give people the tools to navigate it well.
Those years in the corporate world gave Anthony something most business advisors lack: a genuine understanding of what it feels like to be on the inside when things are uncertain. That empathy, built through lived experience rather than theory, became the foundation for everything he has created since.
Inspired by the idea often connected with Mahatma Gandhi — “be the change you wish to see in the world” — Anthony launched the Champion Mindset Collective Podcast to share honest conversations with people who have faced challenge, built businesses, led teams, and grown through life. The show has grown to feature CEOs, founders, entrepreneurs, authors, coaches, and everyday people with powerful stories to tell.

More recently, through his business AI Workflows Agency, Anthony has turned his attention to helping New Zealand small businesses navigate the rapidly changing world of artificial intelligence — translating something that can feel overwhelming into something practical and human.
At the heart of all of it is a simple thread: the belief that clarity — about who you are, how you work, and where you are headed — is what creates real freedom. Not just in business, but in life.
Because when one person changes, it can impact a family. When a leader changes, it can impact a team. And when a business owner finds clarity, they create space for something that matters.
